My Favorite Skincare Line
Since I’ll be referring to them often, I thought I’d make a quick post about Paula’s Choice.
I discovered Paula’s Choice back in the 1990s, when they mailed out catalogs and gave you an 800 number for ordering. Now there’s a complete website with online ordering, plus a large library of articles on skin care and makeup. Ain’t technology wonderful?
Mostly Skin Care
When Paula Begoun started Paula’s Choice, she developed and sold products that are good for skin but weren’t available elsewhere. They are still the best place to find top-quality AHA and BHA exfoliants, and one of the very few places where you can find a “good for your skin” toner. As research indicates new ingredients should be used, Paula’s Choice is one of the first to sell products with those ingredients.
Paula’s Choice also sells makeup, though their choices are more limited. They don’t make foundations in my pale skin color, for example. But what they do make is excellent. Their nude matte eyeshadow palette is on my “Buy” list.
Good Prices and Service
Paula’s Choice also keeps their prices down. Some of their products sell at “drug store” prices, most are a bit higher — but if you compare ingredients, you’ll find that Paula’s Choice products are lower in price than similar formulas from anyone else.
Service is also excellent. You can still call their 800 number and talk to a skin care expert about your needs, and they may even send out free samples of things they want you to try. If a product doesn’t work for you, they will accept the rest of the container for exchange or a full refund. They even offer refunds if you post a bad review on their website!
Paula’s Choice has a “refer a friend” program. If you enter the site using the “$10.00 off your order” link below, you get $10.00 off your first order with Paula’s Choice. I also get $10 credit, so we both win (and I may get those eye shadows sooner!)
